Lyfbooks, Deyen, Family aslan, books, cs lewis, daddy, Deyen, lyf, narnia, prince caspian
Another one down! Only 4 more Narnia books before we’ve read the whole series. At first, I thought Deyen might be wanting me to read these for me, but I think he’s enjoying them now as much as I am (I hope)…
‘You come of the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve,’ said Aslan. ‘And that is both honour enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor in earth.’

LyfDeyen, Family book, cs lewis, Deyen, Family, narnia, the magicians nephew

This here’s not a book review, simply a fun post about reading a book to my boy!
So, Jenn and I enjoy reading to Deyen. Books like How To Train Your Dragon, The Catwings series, and Charlotte’s Web he really enjoys. So, the other day I decided I would try out the Chronicles of Narnia. Now, I started with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe even though chronologically it’s the second in the series not the first. However, it introduced him to Aslan and he was just spellbound by him and by all the wonderful characters in Narnia. Well, The Magicians Nephew was equally received! Tomorrow we start on Prince Caspian. And so far I haven’t had to censor anything. C.S. Lewis, you ROCK!
“There’s not much point in finding a magic ring that lets you into other worlds if you’re afraid to look at them when you’ve got there.”
