My year with…Brandon Sanderson!

Brandon Sanderson
So, last year, I wrote a series of posts after I had read several of China Miéville’s wonderful novels. The year before that I read Neil Gaiman as my author of the year. This year: Brandon Sanderson! What a fun year it has been 🙂

There is one last book of his that I wanted to read before the year was through, but alas, I didn’t have the funds to buy it new or the time to seek it out used, “The Way Of Kings”. I’ve heard good things about it, but I don’t know when I’m going to get around to reading it. So, if anyone has it and would be interested in lending it to me that would be wonderful!

This year I’ve read 9 books by Brandon Sanderson! Probably the most I’ve read by a single author in a year yet. It was an enjoyable year that kept me in suspense and stitches. The 9 books I’ve read (and will subsequently do mini-reviews on) are, in no particular order:

  1. Warbreaker [review]
  2. The Final Empire (mistborn 1) [review]
  3. The Well of Ascension (mistborn 2) [review]
  4. The Hero of Ages (mistborn 3) [review]
  5. The Alloy of Law (a mistborn novel)[review]
  6. Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
  7. Alcatraz Versus the Scrivener’s Bones
  8. Alcatraz Versus the Knights of Crystallia
  9. Alcatraz Versus the Shattered Lens

On top of those 9 books I also read close to 20 others…it was a wonderfully busy reading year 🙂 You can even check out my progress on the widget below…(I highly recommend goodreads.com by the way, an excellent site for sharing reading and keeping track of what you’re reading!)

So, stayed tuned for reviews that are forthcoming. The one thing I can say right now is that if you decide to pick up a Sanderson novel, you will not be disappointed!
