BIOGRAPHY - Patrick Sullivan's journey to Sanctuary is in his own words an awesome journey with God.

Patrick joined the Sanctuary staff on August 1st 2005, but had been an important part of our community for 7 years previously.

Patrick as been for many years involved with social justice issues such as AIDS/HIV awareness, literacy and ESL. Addictions counseling and working with youth involved in various forms of the sex trade. He also spent many years facilitating and leading faith based Social Justice retreats with Christian and Catholic Secondary Students, Ontario Teacher groups and Police Foundation Students. Patrick also works with the Mennonite Church and youth groups.

Patrick's early history with abuse of all kinds and a number of years while homeless has helped Patrick to be both an experienced educator, speaker and storyteller.

Patrick's Faith in God came to root through his connection with the Sanctuary community.

Sanctuary helped me to understand that God gave me the life that I had so that I may use that experience to love and understand the community that God has called me to.
