BIOGRAPHY - God has granted me a deep passion and need for creativity, and a heart that identifies with the poor and marginalized in our world. For the past several years before coming to sanctuary in May 2003, I have juggled a variety of hats.

From visual artist and musician- gigging around town with my cello and fiddle, to music teacher, ESL instructor, part-time student at York University, tutor and volunteer in the Somali community with Toronto Baptist Intercultural Services, entrepreneur, and 'Funky Toilet Seat' designer.

In my own life, participation in a community has been a tremendous source of healing and hearing the voice of God. It is in this context that my gifts, talents and personality have been called forth and allowed and encouraged to flourish. My journey with music and visual art, have been key in my growth and movement towards wholeness. The arts have been, and continue to be, a medium by which I have connected with others and through which God reveals Himself to me.
