Peacemaker Biker Ministry
Peacemaker has evolved from the relationships with bikers developed by Steve "Soul Man" & Crystal Martin allowing Steve and Crystal to provide pastoral care to bikers within the ABATE organization (Association of Bikers for Awareness Training and Education). ABATE is a charitably-oriented organization and, as such, have been supportive of Steve's other work at Sanctuary.
Along with year-round chaplaincy work, Steve and Crystal attend a major annual August long-weekend function for bikers. There they set up a marquee tent and serve coffee, tea and bottled water to the bikers, offer an oasis of tranquility from the festivities and have a place for meeting the spiritual needs of those seeking pastoral care.
As a result of the ministry of Peacemaker and the love that Steve and Crystal have for all bikers, Steve has performed ABATE members weddings, motorcycle blessings and chapel services at memorial runs, Port Dover runs, bike shows, swap meets and more.
